thats all normal for a old school truck. i can hear the choke turning on i think. lol
hey and two pedal pumps. not bad. its been a long ass time since i had a carb. they all had some quirk you needed to figure out so it fired up faster.
my old bird was 3 pumps, then hold it wot, let off when it kicked.

Need some advice/opinions. I replaced both my wheel hub assemblies due to the noise coming from the front end, like the sound of an unbalanced tire, like wah wah wah wah. So after I replaced both, replaced both outer tie rods, got an alignment and tires rotated, it still makes that noise. No change in loudness. What else could it be? Bad tires? Bent rim?

nahh, would be a old bird, formula 400. 400 engine th400 tranny.
like this, i had it when i was 18. bad car for a kid to own, very bad. same color as the pic too.

some tires hum more then others, or get louder as they wear.

Did you check for play or noise in the rear bearings???

not as bad as picking up a car like that for 800 bucks in 1987. mine was no where near as nice as the pic, quarters had rust around the wheel wells and junk. 126,000 on it when i got it.
story was parents got it for their son, he went to collage, left the car home. and mom drove it, kid never took it back. so other then the rust, it was unmolested. till i got it and beat the crap out of it daily. kinda like i stole it.
it really was a fun car to drive, you could hold it sideways for as long as you wanted too, if you knew how to do a burn out. figure 8's no problem, drifting it before drifting was a thing,,,,check! fun car for sure. aka licence killer......

Better than this cold start lol. Had 2 and a half month old gas in it. Filled the tank with new gas, and it starts up very quickly now. Even at much colder temps.

Switch tires around. Our impala had a bad noise that sounded like a bearing, but was just tires. They were old winter tires.

Rear bearings were said to be fine when I was told the front drivers side bearing needed to be replaced by my cousin.

That's what it sounds like. Yours seems much louder and faster. I'm going to try to rotate front to back and see if that helps. Or see if I can test the tires from my dad's grand prix or impala since he just got new tires on both.

We hit -26 on Sunday am. I should have went out and observed a start but no need to take that car anywhere so why put some pain on it.
I did start the old 2000 suburban with a leaky intake manifold gasket. She fired right up and stumbled for a bit while the fuel trims worked themselves out. Got the parts to tackle that next week.
