What are you doing to fuel rails?

I think my favorite scheme right now is brushed aluminum/grey and flat black. Someone here has something like this. Lookspretty badass IMO.

    that does sound good.

rails are black. every thing belt accessory wise is black on the front of the engine, blower will be more yellow and black.

headers are getting painted silver, lets see if this hi heat paint stands up to that. trans if i got the time will be painted silver too.

and im leaving my alt its natural finish.

If you rattle canned the rails, be prepared to be pissed the first time you get gas on them. I've painted mine twice now. Had the rails off a couple times the first day I started it, paint melted right off.

Though I will say I'm very happy with the wrinkle paint on the blower. Had fuel pool on top of it and it didn't do a thing to the paint. I'm hunting new rails at the yard. Going either powdercoat or natural next time.

i replaced my o rings in the quick connects, i no longer leak gas. cant see any reason for gas to get on the rail really.

i used hi temp paint on the rails too. its all hi temp paint im using. and its getting to sit a good while too before i put it in, that may help it cure better.

Got the last wheel bearing and cv axle on driver side all done today. Done all 4 wheel bearings, tie rod ends, driver cv axle and brakes on this 07 base gp.

Still getting code c0035 right front speed circuit. Do i need to replace the wire that goes into wheel hub and all way into engine harness? Car hit a embankment about 500 miles ago, its driving decent now, struts making a little noise but otherwise its good. Want these trac and abs lights to go away already.

Check the wire the runs along the control arm , you'll have to peel the loom back. I bet you probably damaged one of the wires from the impact.

Just having a place in the harness where moisture can make it's way to the connector will turn the light on just like a bad hub or harness. So when you inspect the wiring also check out the weatherproofing.

Russo, not too shab. Nor too terribly cheesy. At least yours looks somewhat racekar now.

Scotty I was trying to think up a lap dogg comment when I saw valve seat pics. Didn't manage to. But you're getting real close and whether I mention it or not it do give me L67 fever just a little. I like the rides with NO colors uner the hood personally. Black castings, silver or natural on most of the rest. You go gitum bra.

This. the wires are inside of a harder black rubber tube thing, mine was cracked and full of water. Which is why 5ft of the harness was basically dry crap wire.

Why thank ya, I wasn't to sure if I was gonna like them. They don't look too ricer like, I'll keep them for now and maybe resell them down the road. Funny thing is my mom is really pushing me to sell my car to my sister, I wouldn't mind selling it to her I would just need to try to find a lower miles rust free Regal GS or GTP or maybe an SSEI for in the $3000 range.

They do look good, I must say.

I had the moment I've been waiting for with the sun roof yesterday. Someone came in from break and said "Man, looks like it's gonna rain soon" I replied "Oh, better close my sunroof" and clicked the lock button on my keys. I got the confirmation that the car locked (and closed the sun roof), and everyone around me (5 or so people) looked at me like a deer caught in headlights, lol. Pretty cool, lol. I work in a scroll factory, and the car was a good 300 yards away with numerous mills, lathes, robots, robot cages, conveyors, etc. in the way. On top of that the factory is basically a metal building, lol.

With all that said I was still a little worried the sun roof would be open when we got off work 5 hours (and a **** ton of rain later), but it was closed and all was well. I have tested it god know's how many times, this was my first "trusting" use.

Haha, that would have been humbling! Good job on the fancy wiring though. Wish I understood more of it. I need color coded, exact scale, photo realistic diagrams to make any sense of schematics. Why not just put a rain sensor on it?

That's the plan, lol. Next up is the other 4 windows being tied into the alarm, then an auto-wiper type thing that's also tied into the windows. All I need to figure out for that is where to source a rain sensor, and figure out a way to only send one pulse to the windows. Otherwise it'll try to roll the windows up all the time.

Lol I'm talking about when I'm not in the car too, lol. The wipers won't come on when the car is off, just the windows and sun roof will close

painted up the valve covers, bolted on the alt bracket, d/s dog bone mount.

removed the coolant ports on the alt bracket as mine go straight up, these were all over the place, hopping i got 2 o rings in my kits of gaskets.

    built my hoist too.

then stashed it in the back lol

then my car started to act up shuddering and misfiring. so i had no tools with me so back to my friends where the engine is and swapped my icm. as i had two codes p1361 abd p1362 low voltage to ignition bypass, and loss of com to icm.

swapped the icm, its still acting up, it comes and goes. thinking it maybe the crank sensor or some thing dumb like that.
