I spent the evening cleaning the interior really well. While cleaning the interior I noticed yellow jackets started making a nest on the front part of the rear passenger door. I guess that means I need to drive the thing every day. LOL

I need to look at the weather, but as long as it cooperates I will be cleaning underhood and starting on the exterior. If time permits it will be getting PC duty on it. I just need to decide what products to use on it. I have Black Box kit remaining, I have some Mother's Brazilian Carnuba Cleaner Wax, Mother's Synthetic Wax, Meguiar's Black Wax, and some 1Z Glanz Wax.

SD that looks like a hoss. I bet it can do a lot of work.

Bill, just like W-bodies yeah you'll need to stock a few kinda clips if you fix it much. But you won't. You may have discovered today why that car was for sale. Imagine payin buck n a quarter per book hour to do that. I had a pretty good clip stash after a few years but its all prolly irrelevant stuff now.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Yeah.. I had noticed a set of misc stuff on ebay. Might consider that to get my stash started. Or a trip to the VW section of the JY would likely suffice.

How-to's are already beginning. However there's a lot of smart guys that have done stuff too. Some documented well, some not so well. You caught that did you? It's back from being loaned to a buddy. I want to get it on the car yesterday, life is busy though.

You could just be lazy like me and use Nu-Finish lol. It works fantasic. Leaves the car shiny and smooth.

Looks great on Sam's car and several others so I can't complain. Since your car is black, it would be really really easy to show you how good Nu-Finish is...

I've used a Nu.. it's good for a quick one time that someone wants to do. It's not a full polish/seal/wax though. There is a fairly big difference once you start into the polishing realm.

    Agreed 100000%

I posted these before, but again

1st pic is what I started with. Truck had a "run-in" with some brush which scratched the sh!t out of it. 2nd pic was only after polishing compound, no wax, and was done by hand.

Nu-Finish isn't going to give you those results.

my friend has the new truck now, so i got the old truck today and did mulch all day with another guy, we got done a bit early so i washed this mess of a truck. he pulls up and hes like i can see through the windows!!!

i replied with wait till the buffer hits it, i cant be seen driving this mess lol the truck has been washed maybe 20 times over the 10 years hes had it, ( by me cause i felt bad for the truck) so being it looks like its mine now. its getting the inside cleaned the f up too. buffer will make the cab look like new for sure.

and i told him all this too ^^^ im like all that crap on the dash is gone tomorrow, all the crap behind the seats will be in a pile in the garage. the dash, the doors, the floor will all be cleaned. and kept clean weekly.

with any luck this will get a stick up his ass to keep up with the new truck better. cant have the old truck looking better then the new one can we???? lol

Friday afternoon junkyarding might be my new thing but I'm not very good at it. Snagged a driver's airbag on the way home today and while it fits and mounts the same and horn wire is same... its way different and so is the clockspring and wiring. Could not determine year on the donor. No worries, I'm rid of the frankenbag thats been in my face. THAT would be a good pistol target, come to think of it!
