Have fun! I'm kinda bummed that my porting is done. Its a very medative process, me likey. I may buy another set of heads on next 1/2 off day at the yard, and see how far I can take 'em
Are you gonna polish the combustion chambers? I used a cone shaped stone on a dremel flex shaft. Just like a pencil in the hand, you can erase all those nasty machinist ridges.
My first jab at porting, but the difference is night and day when you run you fingers into the bowls.
Sometime last week installed control arms and dorman sway. Had this crap sitting in my garage for to long and I felt motivated. Discovered the passenger side CA was much newer then the the driver side so somewhere before 43k someone replaced it.
Then took a look at these beauties and decided they probably needed replacing.

Red. Pa gas tax blows. Ohio and Michigan even West Virginia for chrissake it's still cheaper.
And Scotty I'm about to say efff it and go back to a truck so I don't give a flying fvck about mpg
Edit. My buddies diesel driving highway which is all he drives to work gets 25 in getting 23.5 combined.
Check the prices of Diesel trucks.. What your saving in gas your still paying for in the price of a truck.
Diesel climbing steady to I remember my pops being a little more chipper when it came time for him to fill up his semi.

I don't plan on buying a diesel lol to much maintenance if **** breaks and you need a second vehicle really when you own one unless the truck is newer and in that case it's out of my price range so I'll be going back to what I know best and that is the good old Silverado
