I used 1000 grit and wet sanded until it was completely evenly scuffed, no more worse spots than others. Which took quite a while. Then washed and used a DA with compound a few times. Still gonna run it over with some polish and wax it.

Ah, okay. I just ran the buffer with wet compound over two of mine, better, but not great.

Yeah I started with that too. Didn't do too much really. Took some of the yellowing off and made it a bit smoother. The sanding takes a nice layer off which is what you want.
Also I didn't know those orange reflectors were supposed to light up lol. Noticed there were bulbs in them, so I replaced them

There's bulbs behind them?! I gotta go look at that, lol.

I saw a thread on this, you can put a UV coating on it yourself once it's buffed up to keep it nice, otherwise it'll fade in about 2 years and look the exact same again... its one part spar urethane, one part mineral spirits to thin it out. use a blue shop towel to apply, let it dry, then buff again.
Thanks, I was pretty surprised myself
Yup

I just need them to last a few more months. I was gonna pitch them, but maybe they're worth keeping lol. I put a coat of wax on them to hopefully help.

they look better than mine, lol
Hit 188k and filled the pig up.
Sold it. :(
It's a bit of a sad day because I really liked this car. But it has fallen apart as of late. I don't really have a plan to replace it anytime soon because I work from home and whenever we go somewhere we take the wife's Edge. I am considering Pontiac G8 GTs and Fusion Sports. I really just need a reliable 4 door car. The G8 GT would be something special, but they are a bit older. Since I really won't drive it much (except for my own errands, occasional trip to Cincinnati, etc), higher mileage doesn't bother me as long as it's newer.

Bought an 01 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport w/ 5.9l V8 Magnum, 4x4 and 171k miles for $3700. Needs little things, pics to come soon.
Some camaro parts came in the mail, like the differential shaft lock bolt removal kit. ( you know something is a common PITA when there is a quick fix kit.)

Pulled some timing out of my car seeing if it would lower some of my KR. Went from 8.5ish to about 4-5* of KR. Mostly was a test to make sure it was real and not false. So far so good I guess lol.

na with 8ยบ kr? damn, cut a little more timing. i bet it feels stronger without the kr.
I think WOT right now with the knock is between like 13-17* lol
Something else I think is going on or my car just sucks, rolling into the throttle I was getting 0 knock until I hit 60% which is PE I think then it spiked to 6* of KR. At the top of the gears I would have 0 knock then it would shift and I'd get more knock. Mostly started around 3500 till like 4800 rpm.

the new kr monster lol where you taking the timing out from? you winging this or you got some help already?
ditch the tune and get a scotty tune is my vote cause dam.
i dont know much about a na tune. but people swear overkill na tunes make a difference. so theres got to be some things to make it better.
A little help, a little winging it, little reading
The changes were using the eddies table modifier thingy as a test because I was curious how it worked, but been told its not that great.
i used to use that for maf tuning, now i dont. its for when your to new to trust yourself in my eyes.
you figure out how to scan and what to scan for?
