Since the last few posts mentioned miles they hit, I'll chime in...I just hit 58k this morning lol
So the girlfriend cheated on me, again, and so she thought she could take the car (it's in both of our names, I pay insurance, I hold the title, and she paid for the plates and registration), well she got admitted into the hospital for psychological issues, and the car got left at the first hospital, but she got transferred. So I took everything I have out of the car, reprogrammed a new key to it and now it's parked in a field behind a friend's house until she gives me the rest of my stuff, and buys my name off of it. I'm not going to let some psycho drive a car around with my name on it. And as long as my name is on it I'm holding onto it.

Sure! lol
I'm...experimenting. lol
Got tired of bouncing around so finally broke down and threw all new suspension under it today. All new mounts, struts and Eibachs. Have to see how it settles out. Now just need a 4 wheel alignment and some new rear tires. Man I'm sore. Had to beat the daylights out of the drivers front strut to knuckle bolts. I'm surprised I didn't bend em. Of course the pass. side popped right out :th_shakinghead1: Also threw new sway bar links in the rear as that was the source of my clunking noise that I couldn't find.
Apparently the previous owner did NOT replace the rear struts/springs as was stated. What I pulled out were OEM GM struts with 381K on them, lol... Poor things are well done. Not even a hint of rebound in them. Piston just sank as soon as the mount was loose. Explains the cupped rear tires. Now it's Miller Time!
Went on a 6 and a half hour trip today which is the farthest I've driven this car. I'm really glad I decided to put new headlights in
Today I finished fashioning and installing a homemade wheel/handle kit for my emergency generator, using some snowblower wheels from a machine I no longer have and a broken spade fork handle = $6 for clamps, everything else I had or was FREE. Also, in the background you can see where I finished insulating my garage door with Reflictix foil bubble roll stuff. A layer of that, then a layer of plain 1" packing bubble wrap, then another layer of Reflectix = under $50 from Home Depothttp://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q...pslwirr3nq.jpgI decided not to cut sheets for each panel, so I needed to leave a wrinkle to allow for the joint opening as the door goes up.
As you can see this is a NO car garage...lol.
Next up is fine tuning my riding mower turned snow plow. It did O.K. last year, but I need to get the side to side and lift/lower action working better. All seen here are scavenged parts and pieces (mostly from work) but I did purchase stuff to make tire chains cheaper than I could find anywhere else. It's got reflectors and a single rear lamp, and I swapped the stock headlights for Grand Prix Hi-Beam bulbs, so hopefully I don't get taken out by a town plow.:th_lipssealed1:

I have an Ariens 8HP X 24" - 2 stage snowblower w/ 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds, but if we only get a few inches, I can plow our L-shaped 12? car driveway faster. The Ariens thrives on 8-14 inches. It gobbles that up and even sends some of over my fence into my neighbors yard(not driveway). I would prefer if they both would sit idle all winter, but at least I got them if need be. New England winters suck some years...E
my brothers got a plow on his rhino, it uses the winch to raise and lower the blade. sadly you need to get out and pull the pin to change the blade angle. lucky for him all he does is his own driveway.

That's cool, it must have good power. I'm limited by 5 speed manual and a top speed? of 8 M.P.H. I was using paracord and bunjees to work the blade from driver seat, but i'll improve that somehow soonish...
its a 4x4 with high and low gears, or 2wd, like a real 4x4. it does 50 mph and can be chipped to go faster. but really its kinda scary at 45 to 50 as is. its also got taller tires and wheels, cause stock sucks.
its got be close to 10 years old now, not much has gone bad on it and it gets a fair amount of use. iirc the fuel pump, battery and mice ate something up once.
he tows a brush hog with weekly to mow the front of his get away property, fetch fire wood, haul the dogs around lol . then goofing off on the property, then snow plowing back home
yes thats a black lab taking a piss with a stuffed chicken in its mouth lol the bed also dumps.

why the ramps up the stairs? cause he parks it inside the house when they leave, cause gas gets sucked up towing it back and fourth, so till a safe garage is built, this is it.

With the wheels removed and sitting on a harbor freight movers dolly, it just fits under the workbench. Much better than the wheelbarrow it sat in before.

Again, something I would rather see sit idle, but it got used during Sandy or Irene ( I forget ) , no power for a week.
Nice sink! LOL
