Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Swapped bumpers on the GTP, much better. Checked all the wheel hub wiring connectors because of the C0405 ABS code - nada, looks like I'll be replacing one. Tried to figure out where the boost solenoid the P0243 code references is at so I can see if there's something up with it, or maybe need a new one. Brother and I swapped out his rear O2, and he did the wheel bearing on his (my old) Regal. 3 out of 4 dash lights are off now, lol. Helped my other brother work on his 6x6 Army truck some too.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Well car wouldn't start Thursday so had it towed to buddies garage and we got it figured out, at first thought it was the fuel pump but when hooked to the pressure tester it had full pressure, so then started chasing wires and checked all the fuses and got the car running then it shut off, so with the key still in the on position started moving wires and turns out one of the wires on the icm connector had loosened off and backed out a bit, so put it back together and she is back on the road :)
Also earlier this week changed the passenger side wheel bearing, and my buddy got it up on the hoist and put it in gear so he could have the wheels spinning and make sure we were changing the right bearing before doing so, and well if you own one of these cars you know that when you put it in drive the doors automatically lock, and well he had the car up on the hoist about a foot off the ground with wheel spinning and got out and shut the door lol, took us about 30 mins to break into the car lol, but we got in and got the bearing changed.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
My cousin gave me a chevy 350 that he had picked up but decide not to use. We tore it apart and we found that there was a little rust in the cylinders. I am going to try to hone them out but if that doesn't work im gonna have to bore it out. Other than that it is a really good motor besides that.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Got the bottom off the 350, turns out it's a 2 bolt main, got the heads off, now I'm pulling the cam out.

Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Tried doing something good for the blue gp. Ended up just messing things up. Shouldn't have even bothered with it lol. I washed the car cover on the car, since it's easier that way. I went to pull it in, and it being wet was heavy on its own, well it snagged on the wiper and broke the clip that holds it. So new wipers are needed. They are 2 years old anyway. Still work fine.
Then I wanted to fix my leaky corner lamp, found the silicone didnt seal. Used a heat gun to soften the glue and ended up turning a part of the lense white. Fail. So either I use my extra set to bake in the oven and paint black all over again or I just buy a clear corner black set. Cheapest I saw was $46 on eBay, yeah no.
Anyone selling blacked out corner lamps?

Rule #1: When pulling a car into the shop, ALWAYS roll down the window.
I learned this lesson the hard way, many many years ago. At least one window has always gone down since then, even when tinkering in the driveway.

hidden headlamps.

never seen fiberglass have that much flex, you can literally swing a bat at the door and nothing happens, try that on a vette lol

I don't "know know" whats in Fieros and am glad of it (spiffy dip job by the way, probably an improvement) but theres FRP then theres SMC. Like on Oldsmobile Silhouette / Pontiac TransSport / Lumina APV. Repairs are made the same way but with epoxy resin rather than plastic (polyester) resin on SMC. SMC parts are smooth on both sides and won't have woven strands in structural parts.
