My first one too, I just got fed up with trying to find something with 'leather', sunroof, HUD, and decent miles for under $2000 (in good shape that's a pipe dream, but I was younger and dumber) after looking for ten months, so I got something that had all of that but was cosmetically...., lacking and needed(s) some help, hah.
Finally got my R1 concept front rotors installed along with new Wagner pads. Had my 7 yr old daughter help since she said she wanted to. She did pretty good. Got all the bolts in with the ratchet and I did the final torque. After breaking in the pads it stops much better than the worn out rotors/pads that were on it from the initial Imp swap. Also discovered that 1 of the slide pins was stuck which would explain the strange creaking noise when I was stopping. Stops nice a quiet now, and doesn't shake the back edge of the hood anymore while doing it :th_biggrin2:
Fixed my broken hood hinge. Now I have a working shock again, pulling out the metal pole out the trunk every time I needed to go under the hood got old fast
Swapped the hinge from a 99 and painted it black then realized I had a 07 shock laying around that was much larger then the 04. So swapped back to my broken hinge to keep everything red and threw the 07 on the driver side so now its holding up with just a single one.

First time I washed in since june, polished and waxed the hood no more swirls but holy paint chips lol. Gonna spend the rest of the week polish/waxing the whole car and inside cleaning. Front bumper looks like poo still, had a line on a mint black cover for 35 but the guy he was getting it from decided not to sell it to him with the bundle of stuff he was getting cheap :( oh well.

So you do actually drive it.
What's up with the no projector funky headlights
It's been DD for months now, once I moved back to FL and had time to work on it. Crappy cheap halogens until I finish hopefully my last retro for it.

Finished buffing the right side of the car, muh god it looks so much better. But I must have been doing something wrong tho when I switched to my white pad and some ultimate polish it was giving me swirls. Went back to the orange with ultimate compound and it took them out. Not sure what I was doing wrong there.
To much pressure? You did make sure to clean the pads after every panel right? Make sure the paint is clean as well.

I didnt put much of any pressure on it, just the weight of the DA, kept it on speed 4 clay barred and compounded before so should be clean. Im kinda stumped maybe a finer pad? I'll get it figured out probably.
