Interesting. I guess I will wait to get the notice in the mail.
Yea I guess I would advise people not to get USED headlights off of an 07

I drive 50 miles a day to and from work. Just turned 180k I got it three years ago with 116k that's about 21k a year. And it's the road trip car so sees all the long distance trips.

Water pump out, surface cleaned and bolts cleaned. One looks kinda bad. Lucky me and like 50% of the gasket stuck and I had to break out the million pack of razor blades. Just need to pickup some thread sealant tomorrow. Tried to do what iv seen people say piviot the ps pump out of the way but it wouldn't move enough so i just popped it off.

dont forget to make them 4 bolts on the pulley tight, makes one hell of a racket when left loose lol like a rod knock sound lol
didnt sound good did it? lol
The 4 long bolts do need thread sealer on the threads rights? I found some permatex stuff in a can it has ptfe. Tho it seemed all bolts had some on it? Unless that was thread locker or something.
yes, seal the 4 long bolts.
Stupid orileys didn't have any, which is weird. So I'll have to get some tomorrow after work. Hopefuly the one bolt doesn't snap and nothing leaks lol.
If you go to Home Depot in the plumbing section

Last say 6 years..that one container was all I needed.
I can picture the conservation now.
Head of GM "engineers": So, what are we going to do to fvck with W Body owners today?
Engineer #1: I know, lets mount the power steering pump right in front of one of the long water pump mounting bolts so they have to take the power steering pump off, just to change the water pump.
Engineer #2: (rubbing his hands together gleefully) And for the supercharged ones, lets put the supercharger belt idler in the way of another bolt. That will show them
All together: (as lightning strikes in the background) Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Lol man you think that's bad? I'll take 1 or 2 things in the way any day. The stuff I have to work around every day on other engines makes the 3800 seem easy.
And idk how, but I get the ps pump lined up within seconds almost every time. Might be luck, idk. I use an air ratchet which might be the reason.
Looking at it, it doesn't seem like lining up the PS pump is going to be that hard.
