Hi I have a question about xp cam, I want to be able to hear the lope of the cam so I will need to set the idle low. Is this hard on the timeing chain?

I have my idle set lower in Park and Neutral. So when it's in drive (98% of the time) it's not as bad on the chain
The tuner at intense said "lope is not recommended" You can call and talk to them. They did me right.
But. Low idle, for maximum noise.
INB4 BLUEGUYYY
Which is why I have mine set the way I do![]()
Because he had a massive cam.
He ran the Original Thrasher and set his idle at like 650. So much thump.
If you want lope,do the double roller.Just remember to machine the correct camfer into the crank sprocket.
I don't blame you.If your not running hella stiff springs, then its not needed anyway.
Xp cam / 105 springs. Haven't seen a failed chain post yet
Well looks like im going with a double roller anyways its comeing with the cam and heads. So you guys think i will be ok with a little lope, its an xp cam and 90#springs
Lol xp , 90lb springs and a double roller? If you're wasting money can I have some ?
You should have 130s with an XP... I ran 105s forever and thought they worked just fine.
Until I saw the dyno sheet when I finally put the 140s in.
I'm running a stock chain and dampener on an s1x with yella tella 1.8 rr and 130# springs.
