Just bought a 2000 gtp with 87k on it and now it's acting up. I parked it in my friends driveway 5 minutes ago and realized the car was parked too close to his mom's car so I decided to pop it in neutral to roll it back. Well I rolled back maybe 3 inches when I hit the brick my friend put behind my tire (we were going to jack the car up). So while the car was in neutral I started the car and it started fine and then instantly ran really bad and died within three seconds of starting it. So I tried to restart it in park and same situation. Every time after it does the battery light will come on. Fuel pump primes strong but I doubt it has anything to do with that.

    Could it be the maf?

    Prolly the fuel pump resistor.

Try bending the tab on the relay to put the pump in high speed mode, there are pictures that show the relay and which tab to bend.

Alright so is that just a temp fix until the pump burns out from running on high full time?

You could run it in high mode for a long time, lots of people have done it. If it has fuel to cool the pump it doesnt make it burn out quicker, but older pumps can just die out.
