Was doing the egr block off plate as my rear manifold EGR tube is badly leaking. I was going to remove it and noticed that 13mm, 14mm, or 15mm sockets did not fit so I bent the tube up and saw this strange stud looking thing.

The head looks completely round seems the middle part stocking out vaguely has some rusted looking threads. I need ideas or suggestions to remove it. My fear is as it is an exhaust bolt it is going to require a bit or torque to remove it.

I'll let you in on a secret.

The bolt is on the other side....... has to be removed from the back side.

    Word to your mother.

Fidangle your hands in there and get a socket on it from the back side and remove it.

I texted you the picture last night!

Well, deleted the egr.Oh boy did my car get its balls back. The rear egr tube must have been leaking quite a bit. Since my trans case around it is exhaust soot black. The o2 reading must have been off by a good bit!

Now my car got a bunch of mid range back and minimal knock before I was getting 5-6 degrees. Highest I got was blip of 3 degrees and much stronger mid range.
