Thread: What did you do to your Car today?

i was rolling on 95 from maryland into de. just past the tolls, its a 65 till the toll, then its a 55 zone. i was doing 64 lol he wrote me up for 4 over i think. 85 bucks iirc.

the cop was a dot cop, looking for commercial traffic, a car had passed me as he was pulling out off the side of the road, ( lets the car going 5 mph faster go) deep in the grass by that 1 st off ramp after the toll. you know where im talking about lol

cop was kinda cool, thought i was getting off, till he brings up my past driving history? i asked how far back can you see my record, he responds with, "improper use of a moped", my very first ticket. so he saw everything i ever got a ticket for. and i got a ticket...lol

Went 10 over on the way to work, passed a local Sheriff Deputy, waved at him, he waved back and smiled.

Love my radar detector.

VA is worse than DE. My wife was driving in traffic. All were speeding. The picked her out of the center of the group. She had trouble even getting over because the traffic was so fast and heavy. DE State Police are pretty could up to 10 over. I was going over the bay bridge once and several of us were following an unmarked MD Stae Police car. We were all doing about 65-70. Some dumb azs tries to pass us all and the trooper got him.

VA is definitely the worst for out of staters. If things keep going the way I hope, I will likely be moving down there. I really want to keep my car registered in PA, but dealing with the cops every day will be a bear.

Ok soo pissed at my local auto wreckers - they say they dont have parts for my car, but when i look at Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
it shows many parts, fenders, doors, 3.8sc motor, and so much more.

I even called them just a few min ago and asked for a fender and then after they said dont have one, then gave them the stock # off website, Oh they have, how messed up is that.

But they couldnt figure out why it doesnt come up local, they said come down and check out parts and i could have 50% off 3 parts.
So will go done later today.

At least you get a pretty good discount can't beat that lol same here things happens at local pull a part.. I go and say what I need etc etc wht car.. And guy looks up in computer we don't have any of those..my reply pretty sure you do I was just here year and pulled parts off the same car..guys reply oh really oh free to go in the yard. Computer and great and all but really can't count on them.

cant go 3.8 swap - just put $400 into the 3.1 - could of been an option though.

well after puting that much money into the motor, not going to change it.

Only have a small list to go
0.1 - put rear rims on!!
1 - drivers side rocker
2 - windshield - $300
3 - paint logo on hoodliner
4 - paint brake cailpers
5 - redo tint on pass side
6 - Make custom leather sterring wheel cover
7 - maybe a fender and door

What kind of time frame to get those wheels on? This weekend perhaps?

no not this weekend, the weekends here are too busy at the tire shops.
and next week is busy for me - trying for the end of next week.

I should have the blue on them this weekend though, and the TPMS and valve stems.

My license was suspended for 6 months after I had a seizure while driving. I still had to drive occasionally, so I learned to go maybe 1-2 miles over the limit. I kept driving like that in Virginia until I moved to Georgia. You HAVE to go 10-15 over just to keep up.

New Stereo, component speakers and rears as well...

Hated to take out the original radio but sounded like crap and speakers were shot too. Now rocking with a Kenwood HU, Boston acoustic components up front and infinitys on rear deck! Gonna be a little while till I figure the amp n sub but sounds great already!

I did the hood a few weeks ago...

I'm starting to run out of time, but this weekend is crazy and I'm out of state next weekend....sooo, possibly weekend after that?
Hoping the weather holds out for me to at least get it clayed and throw many coats of wax at it before it gets to cold. Polishing can wait till spring if I don't get to it right now.
I can always take it to work if I need to.
