Thread: What did you do to your Car today?

Made a plow light from an old ford tractor light with new leds.

im gonna predict bad things for that light. like it being torn off soon after the fist 6 inch storm falls.

id put that on the arm of the tractor where its safe, but still in front of you in the seat.

I think it will be okay. I dont see the snow ripping this off. Iy is incredibly solid. I orded a rubber gaurd for the top of the plow. That will help keep the snow rolling over the top.

i was thinking the stacking would kill it off. it wont be the first storm, but the 3 or 4 th storm when you have old snow piled up and its rock hard.

and cutting through the town plows mess at the apron of your driveway.

I will have to wait and see how it holds up. The hard packed ice and snow mix may be a problem but I will have to find out.

I wish my street got plowed. I live on a dirt road.

so if you live on a dirt road your on your own where you live? plow your own trail sucker? aka SOL?

Yeah, pretty much on my own out here. I only have two other neighbors, and they both plow some of the road by their houses. I live in the middle of them so I plow up to that. That's why I have snow tires for the Escape. The AWD in that didn't let me down last year.

The plow on that ATV is going to get used if it ever snows.

i cant tell if that blade angles, but if it does the light will not be a head light any more.

For as much land as the family has here taxes are not that high. My neighbors and I own a section of farm land and we lease it out to one farmer, and after that gets split up it will cover winter taxes for the year.

Yeah, I can pivot that blade. I have headlights on the ATV, and I have one bright. I can turn on all 4 lights and have plenty of light at night. I was thinking about making one of these for a reverse light since I dont have one and mount it to the back of the machine somewhere.

A guy over on HID Planet made some 3000lm (i think) LED light bar only had 3 leds and draws 30w, its badass. Buy oneee lol

Gave it a wash after nearly 2 months. Took some pics. The foggy night had some interesting results
