Rode as a passenger today. On our one hr drive home started to smell coolant inside the car. Windows got foggy and kinda greasy. Had to stop to clean em which meant buying cleaning stuff along th way. Defrost is useless despite having plenty of heat in the car. Idk what's wrong I hate that car today.

Jordan.. they call that a heater core. Have fun with that.

Heard three weather forecasts for today into tomorrow.
    1. 1" of mixed crap
    2. 4-12" of snow
    3. 6-12" of snow
Saw the winter advisory from the national weather service as well. It's saying 2 and 3 are likely.

Am I really going to put the snowblower onto the tractor for one storm? Damn right I will. 42" of bad ass snow blower has been requested by Momma Nature.

Look out Florida..I'm aiming that chute toward your state!

Is my core dead or leaky or what ? I'm gonna check coolant levels this morning since engine is now cold. Hopefully it's not pissing everywhere

When a pinhole occurs in the core. It'll blow a superfine mist into the car. Typically it goes to the windshield. Fogging it and putting an oily coolant smelling residue on it. Like you put coolant on your hand.

If that's the case and you keep driving, it will get worse and you'll have no questions.

truck smelled like antifreeze everytime I turned on the heater but went away after a few seconds. I did't think anything of it, then one night on our way to church the front window fogged up and white mist sprayed fro the vents. Lost the heater core. I had to bypass the core until I could get it fixed. That sucked and it cost me around $360 for parts and labor, and I don't think the mechanic did a very good job. You might as well plan to replace real soon before it goes all at once and you have nothing.

Yeah I'd be replacing myself. Which I've heard is a giant pain. How did you bypass it?

ran the hose from the waer pump back into the water pump bypassing the core. Not sure how it would be on the GP. Bypassing it on the truck was pretty easy.

Which.. BTW you can't do . GM in their wisdom made our heater hoses two different sizes.

i looped one heater hose on my regal when i thought my core was bad. like bill said, one inlet for the core is larger, but the other 3 ports seem to be the same size.
