Both my Stealth and my Grand Prix has tinted windows, and both have the defroster and I have never had a problem with the tint.
i use my defroster all the time, and i did my own tint, still no bubbles or burns or nothing.
interesting.. i've seen and read about it a lot.. maybe it is an installer problem or the tint itself??
With the tint, wait for warmer weather if its really cold where you are. I got mine done on a cold day and had bubbles for a few weeks until the sun really warmed the windows up, the bubbles went away then. So be patient, the bubbles just need to get warmed up.
I had my 04 done in Feb.2008,never changed, never was perfect like smooth glass. They told me it would happen with the defroster traces and window edge black tint dimples. Its somewhat noticeable, but that is a definite installer snafu.
Noticed my voltage was down around 12.8-13.4, So i cleaned all the grounds and added the extra alternator wire. Got it up to 14.5- 15 now.
Alright lately on average its been about +4 celcius lately
Will you warm my bubbles up?
I've never had issues with my back tint. Side windows are a little different through. Scratches down them from obvious reasons, and one of the 1/4 windows on the back has bubbles it in like ungodly... along with what looks like "hair" between the glass and tint. Even though it is in fact not hair... I don't care. It is a grand prix.
replaced my left cv and hub. ****in sucked
I went on rockauto and put the parts i want in the cart, is their shipping right????
cause if it is - its cheaper to get parts local.
finally washed it after many many months, gonna order the black box from amazon on my next wash
Wanted to call Scotty and tell him how my car self healed. Yesterday though it proved that it couldn't be trusted (as he mentioned these issues can be pesky, like JTeske).
This morning, I er..well here's a picture

See that cell bracket (that I was considering using with a new mount? There's a corresponding gouge in my head from my lack of paying attention to that bracket.
The problem with RockAuto is when you buy multiple items and they are coming from multiple warehouses.
There are still ways to save using them though.
drove for the first time in over a week then remembered why i parked it to begin with
Use partsgeek and make sure everything is coming from the same warehouse
