Lol is it that hard to believe. I guess this means jayroca is teacher of the law too lol
I just never realized just how more expensive stuff is. I saw it was synth fluid but **** i can get mobil1 for 25 bucks for 5 quarts.

Yesterday I started gutting the 40th GTP coupe interior and stashing the parts in the 99 GT. Forgot to run the driver's seat forward before I pulled the wiring harness under the hood so oops... must use a jump box now, to move it. Der. Anyway, I'll try to find a local CL buyer for the interior stuff.
Traffic here is murder this weekend... craft fair in the area. Took the big GP out for an early evening spin yesterday though, avoiding major roads as much as possible. I normally have zero problems with drivers being overly aggressive around the giant purple GP but last nite that wasn't the case. Some jagoff in an S-10 cut me off so close there couldn't have been more than a foot between his left rear corner and my right front. Then immediately he locked up the brakes for me. Never before has such a loud continuous stream of verbal assault left my mouth... well maybe when the 75 met its death. Whew! All I got was the finger. I turned off and tried to relax. Went and cruised past where I rolled the 40th...
On the other hand it was a fun work week doing assembly with no heavy deadline and decent parts on a vehicle I like. The last job nearly did me in, from the constant sanding. Anyhow I felt good enough after work Thu to wash the GTP. Been a month or two on that but it still wasn't too awful nasty.
What I've done to other's peoples' cars is more interesting... Heres the '68 Chevy I've been putting together. Actually laid hands on a LS engine for the first time- installed a Lokar throttle cable, lol. I think they oops got big block springs for it- thats probably why the 4x4 stance. It won't leave like that.
Heres the truck that nearly kilt me. Monday, it should be back from getting a custom interior and ready for the finishing touches for SEMA.

I did the unthinkable today...
I actually did something to the car without breaking anything!
All new plugs and wires. NGK TR55s and Orlieys cheapest wireset. Took me about 3 hours because the back was a PITA mostly from the boots having a death grip on the plugs.
**** this bracket 2 bolts took me 30min and i threw it in the garage because it wasn't going back on.

I removed every one of those brackets from my engine lol. Boots are definitely the hardest part, I find that pliers and a pry bar make quick work of that.
Today I finally got half a bottle of lucas in the impala's transmission for the input clutch problem, that stuff is expensive. Went out and beat on it around the block. It happened twice this morning so hopefully this stuff helps.
Even though it doesn't seem to pull as hard as my car does from a stop, it will still spin the tires even at 5 mph on dry pavement. Still very different how it drives compared to my car, mine will really throw you back in your seat from a stop, while the impala will but not as hard. Both are tuned up already. I guess it's the different final drive ratio.

Yeah the boots sucked, the rest was easy enough. Only hard boot really was the one near the 02. I tried not to damage the heat sheilds but said f it.

ordered a reman rack from napa yesterday, guy said it would be there at 9 am this morning, cool right?!!
so i got up early and tore my rack out.
then i keep calling the napa to see if the rack is there yet, and guess what? it never came. guy said ill have to wait till monday.
so this is how my car will sit for the next day or so.
on the good side the rack put up very little fight. kinda like it knew its time was up. even left the sway bar bolted in. came right out.
**** Scotty, that's a bummer! At least the rack didn't give you much trouble
Checked brake pads cause i thought they were low but still have enough beef til I do my f-body upgrade. yay! Just greased the slider pins and lubed up the hardware after cleaning it. Also the pads that the previous owner put in there are high quality carquest ones which isn't surprising because the car was mint when I purchased it and still is
yup, im rather bent over here. i am glad it came out like butter really.
im pretty sure bill wrenched my rack bolts back in when we did the trans swap. those two bolts were f ing tight lol he may have used air.
Took the hood off for Howards parade
Better fused my led lighting, 5A is too much for those lights, switched to 2A. Also realized the electrical tape didn't stick too well so fixed all of that. Reinstalled my hood liner for the winter, was going to switch from a 180 back to a 195 t-stat but realized I didn't have one since last year I used a junky 192. I'll hold off on it, it's not too cold yet. Tomorrow I'm going to install under hood lights so I can see under there at night. It's so annoying holding a flash light under the hood and trying to work.
Don't crossthread the housing bolts changing the tstat....
