Drove it almost tree hundred miles back home. Cruising 75 the whole way getting 27MPGs![]()
Sat down in the GXP this morning. Hugged the steering wheel and said "Sorry 'bout it." Cuz I had to put all plans for the GXP on hold indefinitely.
That's weird, unless it was recent. They reset the code I had when my tstat went bad about 6 months ago. But that was 6+ months ago.
Just buy a scanner man, for the upfront cost of maybe 30-50 bucks for a semi decent scanner that can atleast read codes it can pay for itself in a short time. Save you time and gas driving to get codes cleared.
I bought a matco tools hand held off the truck for I think 80-100 bucks and it does live data but no ABS codes, I can't tell you how many times I've used it in the year I've had it.
Drove it and got a ticket for no muffler, turned around and got out of it.. Pays to be a Criminal Justice Student![]()
Buy a code reader then and delete it yourself! It will pay for itself.
Changed the oil and trans fluid in the wife's Bonneville. Now the trans isn't whining anymore. I think it had the original filter in it yet.
Was just out there attempting to put in new ballasts for my fog lights annddd still nothing! Tried plugging in the halogen bulb, still nothing. Replaced the fog light fuse in the fuse box and didnt help because they were still good, so what else could it be?
Scotty posted a rather cheapo one the other day I'm sure he'll chime in when he gets a chance
Edit: this is the one

I have an Oct 9450 and it's great reads some abs codes and was only around $80
It was. But i was flipping that on and off and nothing. The led that indicates it is on still lights up, but it could still go bad causing them to not turn on correct?

Got me! Where would i look at to make sure? And is there anything else that controls the fog lights besides the fuse in the fuse box?

Fog light relay, Bad ground, connection in fuse box, or wire is broken somewhere. You said the switch is working, so its after the switch. Either in between switch and relay or relay to light.
I will have to look into it along with trying another fog light switch i have laying around. Where is the relay at? Thanks for your help!
