I have a 06 grand prix and its trying to run hot I changed the intake gasket, thermostat, I seen that the coolant in the radiator was brown so I got the radiator flushed out. What else could it be. If anyone could help I would appreciate it thanks

No how do I do that
Im assuming you filled the LIM with coolant first then stuck the thermo in and then the hose.
So anyway.
Turn the car on.
Let it run up to operation temp or close to it
Open the bleeder on the thermotat housing, only do 1-2 turns, you dont want to open it alot or take it off.
You'll start to see air bubbles and coolant coming out, let the car run for a while till all the air is out, and a steady stream of coolant is coming out the bleeder.
Once done, close the bleeder and take it for a drive and make sure it dont over heat, if it still bounces around and gets warm, bleed it again.
Ok will try thanks
Yea check the weep hole on your water pump, or the plastic coolant elbows on the alternator bracket
I own a 2006 Grand Prix and its headache trying to figure why the car runs hot. Today I had the plastic elbows replaced. The car ran way below half on the temp gauge. But when I went thru a drive thru to pick up a sandwich, the temp increased slightly above half. Scared me being I thought the problem was fixed with the elbows. I'm guessing I need a flush, a thermostat and the air bleed?
