I have a 92 grand prix se. I recently replaced head gaskets and intake gaskets. Everything seems to be ok, but before it warms up the temp goes to 230-240F. Then after it warms up it runs at about 195. These symptons preceded just before the head gaskets went out. If anyone has any info that may help, id appreciate it! No oil in coolant.

about two weeks ago. Just before the headgaskets went. The car overheated a few times in between. Im not sure if that effects the thermostat. Whats water wetter?

Bleed it again. I replaced a thermostat and still overheated. Had to bleed it 3 times before it stopped overheating. My temp went up in the red also with no heat. I started the car and let it idle with the bleeder screw opened by the thermostat. Once the fluid started to circulate, then I closed the vent.
