I'm trying to replacing my struts in the front and i was wondering if it'll throw off the alignment, i don't see any other way to adjust the alignment besides from where the struts meet the knuckle.

Take the top bolt out and tilt the knuckle then elongate the holes in the struts and let the alignment shop know that there should be camber adjustment there. 1/8" does the trick in my experience.
before I had new tires and an alignment done my gp, I put in my own adjustable camber bolts for like $70 for the whole car, the drove it to dobbs.
EDIT: When using the cam bolts, there is room for error later on, if the bolts comes loose, slotting the strut is a good idea too, depends on what work you want to do.
I just line the new struts up with the marks left behind from the old strut, 90% of the time it's spot on.
We run so much negative camber from the factory that you have a a pretty good amount of wiggle room when tossing new ones on.
My gp has a lot of positive camber.
How were they done wrong?
So the top of the tire is pointing out towards the fender??
If so, thats positive camber, negative camber means the top of the tire points more inwards towards the strut.
If you point the wedge on the strut mount the wrong way it sits between the mount and bearing.
