    is there anything special i need to know about replacing the brakes on my 01 gt. do the caliper pistons slide or twist back it?

    Slide. A smaller c-clamp usually does the trick. I use the old pads as a flat surface to push against.

    Just pads will take me 30 minutes for the whole car, including taking the wheels off, putting them on, and torquing bolts to proper specs.

    This is with a chassis lift so all four wheels are just off the ground at the same time.

    Rotors? Not happening. The extra time to take the caliper bracket off will definitely put you over your mark.
