So, I wasn't sure if this thread belonged here or in the Tires/Wheels sub forum, but here goes : The other day I was doing a tire rotation on my car with the shops new impact gun, (IR Titanium series),and I noticed this loose wire on my front passenger side.

I'm still learning about cars and mechanics, so what might come easy to some of you isn't so easy for me, being as inexperienced as I am.

Any tips or knowledge what this loose wire is or where it goes? Thanks in advance.

Looks like the abs wheel sensor? Is your abs light on?

Is it 2 or 1 wire? Could be the wire for the ABS sensor on the hub. Is your ABS light on? Could also be knock sensor, oil pressure switch.

Worst case take a look at the other side w/ the wheel off and see if you have a matching wire like this one and see what it goes to.

Yes, the ABS light has been on since I bought the car, and I never really had the time to properly investigate. It's a 2002 Grand Prix GT if that helps. Series II 3800.

Yup. It's a wheel speed sensor. You may get lucky and be able to solder them or just cut and reconnect the wires.

Alright, thanks. Guess that will be a project to do tomorrow after I replace the stock radio bulb.
