Now the user is more wise. With all the work you did on that suspension I never would have guessed it.

    Pics would be nice.

Right on, live and learn. Test drive this morning, light stuff because alignment is so off. But still have vibration on acceloration, but knock seems to be gone. & now a squeak when turning right--i changed right side--pretty annoying, sounds like it is from inner tie-rod or rack.

So I'm confident enough vibration isnt from suspension or wheels.. What it feels like to me, if I drove the car w/o knowing anything, is rt cv axle going bad. But it has new remanuf napa axle & I feel like I should have some faith in the part. I guess I'm going to live with it for awhile.

I have vibration while sitting still, which is normal. This feels like that, but intensified when accelorating. Its like having a splinter, kind of annoying in general and if you touch it just right it can make you wince.

Anyone know what is causing squeak?

Haven't made up my mind if I'll do lt too, certainly dont want twice as much squeaking...

And just to confirm, service manual only gives off car procedure & haven't found any pics. Where does the tube need to be? Is breather tube connected to inner boot and open to air on other end, or is it connected to vehicle on BOTH ends?

You guys are awesome, really. Properly connected breather tube to both boots and squeak when turning is gone. Seems like all plunks, knocks, et al are finally gone. Still vibrates on acceloration.... take what I can get. I decided I'm going to leave left side alone for now and return those parts.

Under car for almost hour and noticed wet spot where rt cv axle enters trans. its not bad enough to drip, i have left cardboard under it over night twice since changing axles, but definately moist where axle meets trans, down to the corner of trans fluid pan. When I 1st saw it I thought maybe pan leaked, but moisture seems to be from above and making its way down to edge of pan. When I get fed up with vibration maybe I'll swap out remanf napa axle? Right now, I'm ready for another alignment and to drive a little.

    Thanks again, really!

never know the alignment may fix it.

have you checked the hub on that side for play? it could be shot as well.

Coil overs on front, but like I said, not that low.

    IMAG0.jpg

Here's the Duralast Inner w/ OEM socket.

    IMAG1.jpg

And the OE tie rod, the white part is the shock dampener. It did not easily slide off tie rod, so I thought it was manufactured as part of the OE tie rod, and maybe replacement was not exact match to orig. W/ tie rod on car I could not see much & was working by feel. The very end of OE tie rod had small crumps which I mistook for the flats. & of course, I could not get the socket over the shock dampener too reach the crimps ...

    IMAG2.jpg

Finally, gentle use of flat head screw driver & rubber mallet & I was finally back in biz.
OE, difficult to see, but very end is crimped.

    IMAG3.jpg

I hope others can get something from this and save a little time, $, et al .

& thanks again. Couldn't have done it all w/o you.

At the end of the day, most of my front end is new, & still have vibration.

Been driving more, I do hear faint whine from front right, eg going 10mph, gentle accel, and when remove gas the whine whines down to quiet, ie it does not stop immediately when removing gas. Going any faster than 15 & road, engine & wind noise get louder.

Also, the vibration happens in all gears, and will remain consistant thru a shift.

Still doing little homework and appreciate insight. Will likely start fresh post in tranny section.

    This true?

Because if your engine/trans mounts are shot you should just replace those and call it a day.

If you're sensitive to vibration, ensure they are fluid filled mounts.

    Did coil overs. Crazy vibration.

    Then spacers, helped greatly.

    Then DEA solid m&t mnts.

Then sway bar, hubs, axles, LCAs, rt i&o tie rod.

I have thought about getting differ brand motor mount and going hydraulic. Not that expensive... and if it helps it would def be worth it. cant keep dumping $ into it. If differnetial is going/I need a tranny, I need to stop spending and start saving... Trying ot figure out how to get a diagnosis I can bank on.

Why were motor/tranny mounts just mentioned? You should get those switched up and Im willing to bet it will fix your issue.

Most of his problem was the inner tie rod. Do you think the solid mounts could be the cause of the small amount of vibration he has left?

Ask brandon. He went through this and it was his motor mounts.

One more symptom--vibration on accel occurs most of the time--ie about 1/4 of the times I punch the gas it grabs strong & smooth, & I say to myself, "thats what it should feel like everytime, at least to 100+mph."

does the occasional correct smoothness of power to the road eliminate anything? (this is why I don't just get a new (for the 2nd time) mtr mnt...--still, it has/does have me thinking )

It's not that I'm sensitive to vibration, its that something is wrong w/ the car--even though it is subtle most of the time, it is not right.

And ya Rico, I got more into it than I hoped to have to. But still haven't given up. And again, couldn't have done it w/o your help, again--thanks!

    Itching to order pacesetters...

    Pacesetters are a nightmare.

There is a set of ZZP's for sale for 425 shipped on this forum right now.

I'd buy those if you want smooth sailing.
