I got the cts-v bolts. Do the rotors have to be from a 2005 GT500? Or can they be from a 2007-10 GT500?

Ya the 07-10 should work as long as they are 14".... I don't think they upgraded to 15" until like 2012 or so

And as for the pads I would just get some advanced or Napa premiums or something... the hawk pads don't suck they just don't work to their full potential until they are really warm... I have a set of the Hawk hps and they work amazing when hot.. cold braking not so much... I will just be buying a set of advanced premiums next.

oh and weight addition mods: CTS-V brake upgrade, 14" GT500 rotors

I mocked up the brakes with 2-12M washers on each bolt and it clears just fine with these new rims. I'm now concerned about lug nuts. The bolt pattern is 5x4.5 and it looks like there is hardly any room for a lug nut, plus a socket. Is this normal for the 5x4.5 bolt patter? If so, what lug nuts should I get?

I bought napa premium pads for the cts-v brakes. They come with backing plates which have arrows. Is the arrow showing which way to place them according to the rotation of the rotor?? Also, seems weird that the backing plates are angled, one side of the plate covers the entire piston while the other half only covers half of the piston...???

It looks like the arrow is facing the direction of travel of the rotor.
Thank you, that's what I thought.

I didn't end up getting those. They are EBC and I read some bad reviews about them. I believe they are on Summit Racing, but I don't think that was the cheapest I found them. I ended up getting stoptech, I read a lot of good reviews about them.

New to this sight but have been modding GP's for a while but I'm in a bind on a project and wonder if you guys can help. I have a set of front and rear CTS-V calipers from 09-13 six piston front and 4 tiston rear calipers and been trying to mock them up. Issue i'm having is I can't find a rotor thats the correct diameter to run this style, I tried a rotor from 09' mustang GT-500 thats a 14" and when I put the pads in they stick up 5mm past the top of the rotor. i think I need a 14.3" but with our bolt pattern and with the correct off-set all I'm doing is running into dead ends??? Would anyone have some input on this?

why not just have a machine shop re-drill your pattern on the matching CTS-v rotors...or go with z06 rotors and have them redrilled?

the Z06 and CTS-V are both a 5X120 bolt pattern but the Z06 is still only a 14" but the CTS-V is a 14.5". The current GM design for the V has a 2 piece front rotor with an aluminum hat section.....and won't dilling a new bolt pattern weaken the hat section??? may be wrong but think it's a bad idea from a safety stand point.....thoe it did cross my mind, even my price at the dealer is $245 per rotor so its not a cheap thing to just test out

Just do it safely I don't know if you're running abs or not but I don't know how it will act with 6 piston and 4 piston rears the only way you will have control is a manual porportioning valve
