..or am I missing something? Also the banjo bolts I couldn't come across. N last would be the 14 mm bushings..any help would be great. I've been researching for hours today n would just wanna make sure I'd know what to get.
The ones in the picture are for the standard sliding calipers to the brake caliper bracket. With the Brembo brakes they are a fixed caliper so depending if your doing the front or rears you will use the brake caliper bracket bolts to the knuckle off a Grand Prix in the front and have to come up with custom length bolts for the rear Brembos
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Yeah I'd just do the fronts, the backs too much work for me and money probably. Yours are so sick tho. So I'd use my stock bolts n they will hold the Brembo brakes to the knuckle? What is the cts v caliper bolts in the parts needed that drunkie posted?

The ones I belive he is talking about are the retaining pin/bolt for the brembo pads but the caliper to knuckle will just be your factory style caliper bracket bolts...hope this helps

Yes thank you, the caliper pin kit he states in quotations next to the calipers..but if you used your caliper bolts stock too then it should work just fine. One more question if you don't mind, Just go to autozone or advanced for the banjo bolts n bushings n say for a cts v?
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
would love to buy a set of those rear caliper brackets. put me on the list for those.

is there any way of getting some pics posted of the brackets you made?
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Can you post pics of your front setup? I would like to see how much room you have between the wheel and the caliper. Nice setup tho!!

Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Use the Gxp brake pedal for more leverage as well
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Looking good!! Welcome to the club!... i honestly dont see the need for the gxp pedal, mine is firmmer then stock and i dont have much pedal travel before it starts to stop
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Agreed, my pedal feels firmer than when the car was stock and i am running front ctsv and rear gxp brakes. looking forward to bracket so can bolt on ctsv rears as well. Either way the brake pedal is fine.
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Its not about feel guys its about the pedal acting on the linkage sooner giving you better performance
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
Ya i understand that but i dont know if i would want my pedal to act sooner then it already does, then if you barely tap the brakes it would brake harder and faster... which is not necessarily a good thing... my clamping force/ pedal travel reaction is pretty damn good as it is so i personally dont see the need for it... now for the fbody guys ive heard that it is almost a must to get the pedal travel and pressure corrected. Just my 2cents
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
So what happend to Lecram25?? He just disappeared, not able to accept PM's and all his posts are gone it seems....
Re: The Official what you need and how-to for CTS-V brakes
... he talked about GPF.... :th_gun-rifle:
