evo calipers aren't terrible, but you're better off buying new CTSV calipers for about the same amount of money.
and subaru guys think their brembos are made of actual gold so they all want at least $600+ for a set, used. nope.
Evo calipers would be the cheapest being you can get them used for like 300 a pair. Sometimes cheaper.
I know to put them on subarus you need to do a bit of machining to the spindles.
Don't care about the spindles the caliper itself is the same on all 3 right? Evo=Sti=CTSV brembos?
No. They have slightly different mounting points. Thicker mounting points. Larger pistons. Smaller pistons. But just about all use the same pad.
For example, an evo caliper has larger pistons, but this is due to it being mounted in the front. The sti has smaller pistons but is mounted in the back.

so by this then the evos woukd have more clamping force? and anyone know which master cylinder is the best option i knlw the monte one is smaller but dont know how that effects the braking powerQuote:

Cts-v or Camaro SS and be done with it. Trust me the claping force is way more then needed with these lol any more and i would be hesitant to use them as far as safety goes lol. And as stated before i think the evo or sti ones will need a bracket or something as im sure their mounting points are not even close to ours.

But brembos for an sti or evo are also made for those cars... Which those cars also weigh a **** ton less than a grand prix. I would just go ctsv

the Subaru you have is about 3420 and a 2007 GP is 3477 the GXP is heavier and Im sure the 97-03 is maybe a little lighter than the 04+ bodystyle. anything less than 200 lbs imo doesn't really mean much. Certainly less than a 100 lbs is nothing to whine about.

IMO weight is not the factor at brakes so much as piston sizes and area.
My wrx is nowhere near 3400 pounds Hahaha try 3100 without me in it. And yes, weight has to do with how calipers are used on vehicles.
not saying it weight doesnt matter and if thats a 2011 i cant find anythimg under 3400 id bet if you weighed your car youd be suprised and dissappointed.
