Well, if you think it is the brakes are still causing the noise I have an idea.
Be aware the brake cylinder retracts a very small amount after pressure is released, I’m talking about the wheel cylinder just to clarify. If your brake cylinder doesn’t retract, it will make a little noise because the shoes will rub a
little against the rotor. But the brakes will still work fine. Re-building the brake cylinder is easy and cheap, it just takes a bit of time.
This may account for the noise just after stopping, the noise before you stop could simply be your new pads are just more aggressive than your old ones. Just a thought
