Sounds like your hub bearing is done! The hub bearing is what your wheel is bolt to with the lug nuts. If it fails completely, results can be catastrophic!

k lol yeah we are going to take the wheel off today and look at it and then fix it! Is there a way to see if the bearing is even the problem when we are looking at it? Because for example maybe it need grease in it or something like that... but who knows i think we are just going to fix the whole thing.

I changed the drivers front this evening, took all of 25 minutes. They are a sealed bearing, no way to grease!

befor you go diving in and replacing hub/bearing assemblies make sure its not something simple like a brake pad wear indicator touching a rotor. id be looking more towards the brakes first , then the bearings.

Yesterday we looked at the little metal part that tells you when your brakes are bad and sure enough that is what was making the noise!!! The Brakes are good and ALL yesterday and most of today there was no noise because my wife was driving the car..... Until i started driving the car then the noise came back tonight so i guess im going to go tomorrow and get this kit that has that metal part in it and replace that part for $10. That metal part i guess works its way out of where it should be and then starts to rub against the rotor. So yeah check that part first before you go and spend money and switch out parts that are still good!

When mine failed, It sounded like serious pad wear. sounded like a bird chirping non stop except during accelerating or braking. Then it was silent. Release the brakes and chirp, chirp, chirp! Two days later the noise went away while turning left but not right. at this point it was clear that a hub bearing was failing. Brakes were also new the week prior. It lasted The 5 days that it took the new one to arive that i bought online for $68 canadian, $90 to my door! Locally $245 before tax(can you say "Mark up")!
    Good luck!

I had the same problem last fall except it was when I turned right, turned out to be a deteriorating strut.

Ok sounds similar to the problem I'm having, when I drive its a constant squeak..sometimes its there sometimes its not, its the real wheels. I took everything apart and looking and the bearing spins freely, and the wear sensors are not rubbing....I also checked the metal things that hold the brake pads in and I didnt see any rubbing either. Any ideas?

Alpha388th...where u talking about the clips that hold the pads in? or something else I might be missing

Hmmmm, the way I found mine was I jacked up the front end (the noise was coming from front driver) and I manually turned the wheel left and right until I was able to tell what was making the noise. But if it's a constant squeak when you're driving and not only when turning that probably wouldn't help.

Tin plate that mounts the wheel abs sensors wiring connector can also rub the rotor causing an inferiorating intermitant brake squeal. plate rubs rotors after a brake application, inturn causing the rotor to expand from generated heat ever so slightly. resulting in an intermitant squeak or squeal that is not present with cold brakes. sorry about the novel. Hope this helps
