Adding a basic Esky rearview camera to a Kenwood DDX492 head unit...but idk where to plug in the wires.
Multimeter's on the fritz, and the manual appears to be no help (no wiring diagram).
In the head unit's manual, it tells me to "connect the purple-with-white-stripe wire to the vehicle's reverse lamp harness wire". Where can I find this reverse lamp harness wire on an '08 Pontiac Grand Prix? What color is that wire?
With the Esky rearview cam, I have to hook that up to the reverse lamps power. Again, multimeter is fried, I guess. Any of you know which color wire to tap into for 12V power that only switches on when reverse lamps are engaged?
I don't want to chop up wires all willy-nilly & mess something up. Please help.
