I have some aftermarket speakers rated at 90 rms at 4 ohms. Would an amp rated at 25 rms at 4 ohms be suffient as far as enough power. Or should I get something a little more powerful? This amp is a 2-channel which i'm using only for the fronts. The backs are already hooked up to a 2-channnel amp.

Any amp will make them play. What size and kind are the speakers?
A lot of these low end speakers they are selling now a-days are not going to sound good with anything.
I am running Image Dynamics CX62 2 ohm components, although they were pricey new , I picked them up for the cheap.

Speaking of amps: I pulled a(nother) driver's seat out of a GT with a Monsoon system... 1) what is the amp (I presume it's an amp) in the left rear wing behind the trim, and 2) will I be able to adapt the amp behind the dash (and behind the radio, HVAC & storage bucket) to work with my regular UW6 CD player, or be able to bypass it altogether, as I plan to salvage the dash for its heads-up display?

Their Alpine SPR-13C's. 5 1/4's They're good speakers. Top of the line as far as 5 1/4's go.

Yes, they do look nice, I would but an amp rated 100+ on them.
Says they have a 300 watt peak.

hard to say, you will need someone with some more OEM knowledge to chime in.

Nope; it's a silver box with a GM logo on it. And before I forget-again-this salvage car had On Star in it. Could that be what the box inside the dash is for?

Peak power doesn't matter. Ideally, get something that will feed your speakers 80-120 percent of their RMS.

I gotta say... I have a stereo which is 25W x 4 (excluding my sub). I had that high enough the other day that my ears were ringing afterward, with no distortion whatsoever, and the amp could've easily pushed more. So to me, any more than 25W per channel is not needed for regular driving (unless you want to use earplugs which seems like a waste).
HUGE Caveat: Since I have a separate subwoofer, I have a high-pass cutoff at either 100Hz or 125Hz (I forget). If you want to try to drive a lot of bass through your 6x9"s, then you might want more than 25W's per channel (but I doubt it).
Just my opinion as a user, not as a system designer or show participant.
I will point out that if your amp starts to distort before your speakers, it's possible to damage your speakers with the nasty signal (if you really plan to listen at high volumes a lot).

The fun never ends with salvage cars; I just pulled the HUD module on that car... first one with an intact spring... and the bloody lens is split!!! PLEASE tell me there's a way to replace just the lens!(The HUD is the reason I'm even messing with this dash to begin with; at least I rescued the cowl without breaking it!)

I had this hooked up to my front and rear speakers.. front and rear alpine type r's.. I tapped into all the speaker wiring from behind the radio and put the amp underneath the shifter console. In the front there's enough room to do it and it's a good amp for the size basically a little bigger then a ps3 remote

BTW I'm gonna do this again to my other GP being I got rid of the black one on my profile picture so if you want when I do it I can take some pictures etc
