Nice nice man. How did you get it so loud with trunk open? Mine sounds hollow with the trunk open, still loud but like without compression

I have the Polk Audio db212-2. It's a ported box.
Not my car but it's the box that I have.

I've just finished putting a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT in. I had a XM receiver from my previous ride, and added HD radio to it. (If I'd done just a little more homework, I would have gotten the next level Pioneer that would have had the HD radio built it.) It all pours into the OEM Monsoon amp system.

I've got the Bluetooth mic sitting under the instrument cluster temporarily. I can't make up my mind whether to mount it in the overhead lamp or hack into the On-Star and use its mic.

I'm also looking into getting an XM antenna off a later G6...which mounts on the trunk lid...so that I don't have to worry about the magnetic base of the Pioneer antenna sliding all over the place.

I've got two problems I still need to clear up. I'm getting RAP feedback into the engine's run circuitry. The engine will run with the key off until I open the door. I'm thinking that the GM-01 adapter I got, which has a hookup for the VSS and backup circuits might be back feeding the PCM through the VSS circuit. Since I'm really not planning on GPS for this, the next time I pull the radio, I've gotta hack into that nicely wrapped harness and cut that.

The other issue is some very occasional popping and scratching through the Monsoon amp that I'll hear with the volume of the head unit turned all the way down. I'm going to give ground loop isolators a whirl...but I'm not real hopeful. I've swapped amps and still have the problem, though one amp is a bit better than the other.

I cut out the 6'' port and doing an 8''... lil better numbers....
