    Funny guy

FYI, I'm beginning my excursion into rear fill(properly). Using T/A and bandpassing my speakers it has actually raised my stage and somewhat resolved the tweeter issue. Tweeter location isn't very good at this point but the addition of rear fill has given my sound stage somewhat of a rainbow effect now.

The rear fill has "erased" the ability to identify speaker locations though. Using T/A for two speaker setups in the front didn't seem ideal. Now with all 4 speaker locations T/A has steered the image right in front of the driver. It was kind of odd so I moved it back to the center of the dash. Tweeter attenuation helped a lot too.

    Forgot to mention trunk space

Once I finalize my hardware and my installation I have plans to move and hide everything to regain my trunk. Currently I still have access to my spare.

And that's what sucks about car audio

You can choose install or DSP. EQ can only take you so far...

Some people choose to fight reflections and others attempt to use them...

    RTA is a must!

Some people hear the issues but have no idea what frequency they're related to

    Gotta train the ears first.

Hopefully I will have a power pack for the speakers soon.

Also my alpine doesn't charge my Ipod well and usually it ends up dying and not being able to play and it just says charging please wait. I don't know if it is the fact that my Ipod is so old or if it is that I use a apple computer cable. Any ideas?

Power pack for speakers? What in the world is that? If a "power pack" has anything to do with capacitors...save your money ;P

No a power pack is specific to alpine hu and it puts out 45w rms instead of 18w and it is very small. Essentially it is a mini amp for the speakers and it just plugs into the deck.

    Get some real amps
Nice try on calling me out Matt but my amp is just as legitimate as yours. Yours is full of heat sinks where mine surrounds the outside and my heat sink is way more intense than yours.

Then there is also the fact that the second amp you posted is not even a car amp. It is not restricted by the size, weight or 12v of a car. I think the first amp you posted is not a car amp either but if it not for a car then it is kinda puny for its purpose.

depends on what ohm the subs are and what ohm the amp is stable to.

So far i've done all my car audio work in the last week or so.

    I've got Kenwood MP205 headunit,
6x9's [cant remember brand, buddy gave them to me]
    4 tweeters, 2 on a pillar, 2 on c pillar,
ran the wires today for the subs im getting tommorrow.
Hifonics hfi series. yeah they're somewhat cheep, but i figured the brand was better than sony xplod
They're going into an old custom box a buddy of mine made of 3/4 inch plywood, but as soon as i get these, and the specs, im getting a tuned box by a guy who finished 2nd at nopi only to splitting a magnet showing off getting some

topped off with a Crunch 1000w amp at 1x1000@ 4 ohms

Only thing left is the 5 1/4's for the front and i'm rockin.

7" Kenwood Excellon Flip Out Indash TV w/Ipod /// 2 Kicker CVR 12's /// ALPINE mono block 500 watt Amp

I'm doing a motor swap so while I'm doing that, I'm upgrading the stereo system to: 2 Kicker L7 12's (that are in my Cadillac) /// Diamond Audio 800 watt amp /// Just bought and installed 2 HERTZ 6x9's...I can go up to 70 RMS on these, so I'm adding a Orion 60 RMS amp /// Going to buy the HERTZ Mille mids for the front, and HERTZ Tweets /// Rewiring all speakers with new wire /// looking for a 300 amp alternator /// Yellow top Battery.

So we'll see how loud I can make it shortly
