I have an 01 Grand Prix with Bose and OnStar. Is there a Way to wire my after market stereo without having to buy the 100$ wiring harness. I'm fine with rewiring a few things

    Stereo implies you're replacing everything.

Do you mean just the head unit?

If so, you just connect the pink wire to the remote wire from your new head unit and you'll be back in business.

This a copy from ramairgtp2! There are two plugs on the back of your stock radio harness. The smaller of the two with 4 wires? IIRC ( its been a while since I talked about this ) anyways there is a solid pink wire in the smaller plug. That is your cars amplifier power turn on wire. You wire up your HU with the wire harness adapter like normal and then you have your blue remote turn on wire from your HU... Connect that blue wire from your HU to the pink wire coming out of your dash for the Amp turn on. This will power your Bose amp like normal and give you sound.
