    Abstract

The idea is pretty simple. Projector with an LED halo for signalling. With the arrival of all parts minus what's needed for the projector retro, I figured I might as well get started. You'll have to excuse the terrible picture quality, my phone is a piece of garbage.

    Anywho, plans are as follows:
-Since I'm eventually going to have 3 sets of HIDs, I'm going to install two medium gauge terminal blocks directly from the battery so I don't need to unhook it all the time. But that's another project, another day.
-Fog light roll switch on the signal stalk will be used for turning on the projectors utilizing a relay harness attached to said terminal blocks (and possibly setting them up to turn on when I start the car).
-LED halos will be turn signals only, not DRLs.

    Hör gut zu!

Here we have some factory 04+ base turn signals (courtesy of Javi) -- no big deal right?

    WHAMMY! They've been ovenated:

Oh yeah, remember those 3" acrylic discs from my cup holder project (from TAP Plastics? They're back (and still with the blue protective film on):

Hokai, so first you take this white LED strip and wrap it around the outside of the disc, attaching with foil tape as shown here:

It should look like this when finished:

    And alit:

Now, wrap the amber LED strip in the same fashion, starting from the center going outwards to make sure it doesn't look retarded. The end result should light up like this:

The next step is to undo the last step because we're going in a completely different direction -- oh the joys of development. Place the current arrangement inside a cup like so to preserve the shape during outward pressure from what we're about to do:

Nao, time for the second LED strip. Test fit it inside the first one starting from the center, again so it doesn't look retarded. Then apply crazy glue to the underside of the second strip and keep it held in place using the underside of a second cup (simple things like this come in handy):

    Once done:

    And alit once more:

    To be continued...
