I set up the fog light in my other car as signal/ drl/ fog. It is a Fiero and seemed like the best place for foglight is where the signal/ parking light used to be.

Here a white signal light is legal and I wanted to make sure the signallight could be seen. Wiith a halo the fog would need to be turned off anyway to easily see it from far away.

You wouldn't be able to see the signal from very far away. Unless I had both white strips on for DRL and then just used a relay to toggle them on/off for signalling.

If you set the halo to be on all the time then just use 2 relays, one for each side to turn off the halo for the signallight. If you want to turn the halos off as well use 3 2way relays, one to turn halo on / off other 2 to flip the rail with signal-light (used this with my foglight on the fiero just so I could turn them off)
