If your deck is an 03 or newer it will work, however you will have to add connectors to hook it up...not very big of a job if your electrically knowledable. you can simply get an onstar antenna with xm built in...these will have 3 seperate connectors the two seperate connectors for onstar and a third for xm.
Used XM Modules...upon installation you will get the xm locked message as soon as the key reaches the on position...the dealer themselves CANNOT clear theft lock on xm modules...headunits they can though.
So what needs to be done is the module either be sent to a delphi service center to clear the eeprom or purchase a new module from the dealer...
I installed factory XM twice on grand prixs, first was on my 04 i got lucky and got a new module on ebay, however that car got wrecked so i did the same thing on my replacement 06 and ended up having to buy a new XM Module.
I think yours is an 05 which i think it is, you have the class 2 data bus so the module must be meant for vehicles like an impala03-05, grand prix, up until 06 silverados and sierras, canyons and colarados and equinoxes. pretty much everything else is GM LAN.

Theres a company called instrument sales and service or somethign like that mentioned on this link that reflashes the eeprom on the modules...

I walked a guy through installing xm on his prix and this is the route he took...worked perfect for him.
Heres the thread on installing XM on a prix, connectors arnt the same in certain parts of the car since its a grand prix but there is alot of valubale information otherwise.
