    Right now i have a XM radio in my 2000 bu everytime a friend gets in my passenger seat he hits my radio. Just wondering if a radio out of a 04+ would fit. Thanks

    Do the newer head units put out more rms power?

    I dont see how the O4+ HU's would fit into an pre 04+ GP, the bracket styles are different from what I recall. And when you say your passanger hits the radio, what do you mean? Do you have Satelite control attached on the passanger side where he hits it or what?

    I also doubt the 04+ HUs have any more RMS output than pre 04+ HUs.

    I have a bracket attached to the right side of my head unit and my xm radio is on the bracket. I have some tall friends and thier knees hit it

    no it wont work. the electronics are different.

    You should move it to the dash/cubby hole in the center console if it fits in there or move it up to the left hand lower corner of the dash near the window.

    That is about the only other suggestions I can offer.
