So, the cd player skips like mad all of a sudden. Took it out and looked at it and there is a spring broken that is part of the player suspension. Any ideas where a new spring can be had?

Trying to find the write up where the guy replaced the cd player with another unit, but it must not have been this site.

What year is your GP? If its a 97-03 Id just get a factory CD deck with the 7 band equalizer. Easy to find as they were used in Montanas, Firebirds, Grand Ams Sunfires, etc.

alot of the time parts will interchange between the gm radios, just find some that are close to the same year and im sure you can find a spring in one or swap out the cd unit.

So, being told 2 different things, but all I can do is look at the plug ins. Will the 7eq Cd Player work or not work with the BOSE system? Being told by some it will and others it won't. From the best of my understanding it will NOT work.

I had the 2 band (bass, treble) with my bose. Swapped in my 7 band eq with no problem.
