Standard CD format is CDA i believe. Meaning CD Audio track. Most manufactures cd players don't read MP3 or WMA unless it says it right on the player.

Mp3 or other compressed data forms are NOT RAW FORMAT!. If the question is whether or not your CD player will play a burned audio disc...Be sure you've set the recording to audio disc vs. data disc. Next, make sure the option to burn your CD is set to the slowest speed...4x maybe? This will ensure a good consistent burn across the cd platter.
