I have the Metra GMOS04 harness and a JCV double DIN I am putting in the wifes car. The OEM head unit work fine and I get the chime in the door with the key left in the ignition. There are steering wheel controls that will be forfeited.

The issue I am having is no sound.

I have connected all of the wires in the 16 pin harness (minus those mentioned below) per the instructions in the link below. This would be in pages 2 and 3. The wife does have the digital radio receiver in the drivers side of the truck and I am assuming the amp is under the rear windshield from what my Alldata says.

All of the wires are being used and connected properly minus the Brown wire as there is no mute, minus the Blue/Pink wire as the headunit has no Nav and minus the Black/Yellow from the 24 pin harness for the OnStar Level Adjustment. I have taken a volt meter and verified 12+v from the head unit remote wire all the way up through the harness to the backside of the OEM radio harness where it changes color to violet. The head unit itself will turn on and seems to function fine. It is a new unit.

Here is a link to the wiring info for the headunit. See page 55 for quick reference.

When the new unit connected I do not get any chime from the key left in the ignition per page 5 from the Metra link and the pot is in the full CW position.

    Anyone have any idea?

The chime is supposed to come from the harness, I believe. I can't remember if the 07 has the same colors in the factory harness, but if so I can help with tracing the possible problem. I've been behind the radio more than one should.

On the GMOS-04 there is a gain adjustment and a volume control these are located on one end next to the connector and on the side of the device. I don't recall which one is which so you will have to play around andfind out. One controls volume of chimes and other controls output sound. That is all.
