negative, all u have to do it put IAT sensor near the cone... its been dyno proven from a member on here.... open cone had greater HP and TRQ numbers. do what u wanna do though.No offense, but I disagree. Moving the filter away from the engine to get more cooler, denser air looks much cooler to me

Ahh... No. That sensor inline of the air intake system is not an IAT sensor - it is an MAF sensor. You must have the MAF connected or the PCM will identify that it is missing and, among other things, set a DTC and not run optimally.
