I was just thinking if I changed the intake manifold, that I could plug the towers and be a step ahead in the delete process, and not have to take the intake manifold back off when doing the total delete.

nevermind, the intake will still have to come off to change the lifters. if I end up doing it, I probably will do it all at the same time, transmission included.
