    Since i cant brain today. When pulling the Harmonic Balancer, does a seal need to be replaced or can i just put it back on?
    98' GP coupe NIC Pacesetters, E85, FSIC, 2.6, heads, blah
    11.82 @ 118.4 with a 1.8 60ft

    leave the seal, put the balancer back in.

    seriously, Scotty is right. We've all had those "no brain" days. All you MUST do is be sure that the woodruff key on the crankshaft lines up with the slot on the balancer when you go to reinstall, or bad things can happen.

    And the bolt size for the HB removal tool is 1/4 by 28 Right?

    the bolts for the balancer to the puller. they are metric size is in this thread. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...a-crank-sensor


    M6 x 1.00 and 70-75mm

    pretty sure i used 55 mm long and they worked well with it in the car. if you cant find them i have a bag here. i had to buy a bag of 25 bolts. no one had them local long enough.

    you need 3 of them and some washers to keep the heads from pulling through the puller.

    Hopefully you won't end up with a balanced that has the holes but not tapped like I did. Ended up tapping them 1/4-28 because that's what I had.
