How many keys does an 02 GP GT have? Bought the car used and it only came with one key but it doesn't unlock the doors or trunk. Seperate key for the doors or has my iginition switch been replaced?

sounds like your ign has been replaced go to dealer and have a key made from your vin then it will open the trunk and doors. Hopefully your cars not a 2000 or above otherwise you have a chip in your key and it will cost about 90.00 a key.

We just bought our car as well and it only had 1 key. They told us if they found the other key, they would send it to us. I did some research and found a key on e-bay for a few bucks. Also found instructions somewhere on the internet on how to program the key to your car. I am waiting for this key to arrive yet except the dealer DID find the key and sent it out to us. Now, I am going to have a third key I will not need. If you are interested in this, let me know and we can work something out. They key is a blank that you need to get cut first before you program it.

@rynoman03 - It's an 02 and it does have a chip. Already bought a second ignition key a while back. Never thought to check it in the doors.
@kodeblue - I think I'll go to the stealership and see if they can cut a "dumb" key. I already have a couple ignition keys that work so I will not have to reprogram another. The new key will just have to unlock the doors and trunk.
