installed my new TPS, this is the old one obviously. After years of wear n tear this lil groove can gradually occur over time.....which can cause the random high idle or acceleration hesitation....etc. What thru me off was when I first installed the new TPS and started the car....the idle went up to 2200RPM and seemed to not wanna come back down. so I turned the car off and re-started it, idle went back down to 750rpm +/-.
I only let the car idle for a few minutes bc I was against time but I haven't drove the car since so hopefully the issue is fixed. My only thought on the high idle after the initial new TPS install is the PCM just not syncing with the new TPS yet......come to think of it I could've disconnected the battery for a minute

Seems to run better all though when I first started it this morning the idle was pretty low and seemed to want to cut off a few times but once I started to drive the acceleration was much more responsive......
The PCM probably has to relearn. After you run it on the highway and city streets, stop and go, it will relearn and start running better once it finishes the process, but I think that process takes some time. They do have other methods to do this though, and it is a much quicker process.
