oh, i dont see headers on that short list, you'll need them if your to run a smaller pulley.
im on a 3.4 pulley rockers and headers, its nice gain over stock for sure. smaller pulley and a ic would feel even better i bet.
I plan 2 stages for right now. 1st stage is some sort of intake improvement, headers, already have a 180 tstat, and a 3.5/3.4 pulley depending on KR.
Stage 2 is an intercooler, and rockers, and the smallest pulley i can run. Im hoping to be around the performance area of the g37, stock evo, or wrx sti.
stage 3 if the tranny holds up, e85 injectors, and the smallest pulley i can run. I would hope this would put me in the same class as the new Camaro ss
if you got corn, do that first for gods sake. instant KR free HP. and with corn you dont need a ic any more, so dont bother with the ic if your plan is to go e85.
everyone says you dont need the ic if your on corn, can you run both? sure you can.
look at vets car, its on corn and a 2.8 pulley iirc. he does have a cam tho.
E85 is good!
Intercoolers are still good.
Run both, I run 1.9 rockers, ported heads, plot, intercooler and 3.0. Notice no headers, I bought speed daddy and they stunk as far as fit. I sold them.
^^^^^nice no headers and 3.0....damn cool.
Plot --- P-Log
Would I use any other intercooler? Need a smaller pulley, 3" pulley on 93 octane.
Played around with mixing in e85 but I have 42# injectors. Probable need 60# and maybe a fuel pump.
Lowering the outlet temp of the m90 helps a lot with power. You might be able to run small pulleys with e85, but you won't be trapping 120+ without an intercooler.
not sure if im following? ^ whats the difference in small pulley e85 and small pulley intercooled?
curious as well. I dont see why having colder engine temperatures from e85 would change how a car accelerates as opposed to having to cold air coming in from the supercharger. I dont know everything so I'm wondering what the logic is.
my thoughts exactly e85 will be there without being a restriction forcing air through a ic core.....
E85 doesn't cause the engine to run any cooler.
An IC decreases blower outlet temps by quite a bit. Colder air=more dense air=more power capability.
