Ok question. We all know the cone filter on stock gtp makes the sc whine louder and noticable. Well my problem is I just unhoocked the intake from the air box and put on the cone filter on stock tubing (end of intake faces radiator hose) and I hear no difference ! Should it? Or do I need to get coupler and 30 deg elbow and make the filter by the tb

The problem is that you're using the stock intake tube. You probably have a leak past the filter, and the stock tubing creates air turbulance.

Your best bet at this point is to put your stock intake back together until you figure out what you're doing.
