When Im at a higher speed (highway) and punch it, when it down shifts it stutters for a sec or 2 then takes off. It only does this once in a while. It doesnt do it in the lower gears or at lower speeds. Any thoughts as to why it does this?

........I dunno about line pressure, why would that make the car stutter? I say check your ignition system (plugs and wires) out and O2 sensor. Also could be signs of a potential cat problem.

WHY IS EVERYONE SO OPPOSED TO DOING A COMPRESSION TEST TO TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS?

The wires might be the prob. They have given problems before. Ill have to check them later.
