Can and should it be done? Who has done it and what kind of numbers have you seen with it?? I am wondering if I should have it done or not. Also how it would perform with Full size I/C.

    eh

It can be ported, sure. There's really no need to though.

    Why don't you try searching.

Thanks. I will do that. I kinda figured with the difference between the Gen 3 and V that might be one of the unnecessary things to do to it. Ill just change the Coupler, check the fins, change fluid, clean it and dip it.

Edit: Wont porting it make it a little louder though?? It did on my Gen 3

if you buy an intercooler for it, try to get one thats made for a gen V. The gen3 cores will still work with a genV but you lose functional PCV and its slightly more restrictive as it doesnt quite line up properly. The difference isnt huge but its worth getting a GenV IC core if you're buying new.

I was planning on a Gen V full size I/C for the Gen V. I have seen videos of GP's that scream. I just want that whine. My gen 3 screamed but not quite as loud as I wanted.

For porting a Gen V, it's best just to clean up the outlet triangle since there is still a bit of rough casting there, and on the inlet side I filled my egr I wasen't using to reduce turbulance as well as took a few sanding wheels to polish the inlet. Was it nessecary? probably not but any improvement is an improvement and it all adds up in the end.

That looks like really extreme porting on a blower that everyone says doesn't need porting. Any actual gains with that?

Switched to a gen v rather then pulley down on a gen 3.

We had a Kansas guy send us a blower case that looked like this:

I installed it on a locals car and it lowered the 8*+ of KR he had to literally nothing...but granted it hardly made any boost either, lol...prolly like 5-6~psi on a 3.4". Was laughable.
